In Term 3, we (The JLC) learnt about their stories and the stories of their extended family. We investigated our different cultural backgrounds and worked with family members to research and explore our family histories. Part of this learning involved creating a fabric patch that told our family story, which was sewn into a class quilt of stories! We are very proud of our quilts and all that we learnt last term.
We would also like to extend a huge thank you to Carmen (Willow Said’s grandmother) and Susan Abbott (Ashlan Vahland’s mother) for their work in sewing the fabric together to make our beautiful quilts.
