Qualifications: Bachelor of Teaching (Primary)
Professional Interests and Expertise:
I have recently completed my Bachelor of Education at Deakin University with a specialisation in Inclusive Education.
I am passionate about providing a supportive learning environment for all students, taking into consideration the range of abilities
and learning styles. My previous role as an educator at Kelly Club out-of-school-hours care enabled me to work closely with
several students with varying needs and further understand inclusive practices that I can implement in the classroom setting.
In 2019, I had the opportunity to participate in a global placement based in Switzerland with a Grade 6 class, where I implemented
a range of teaching strategies to cater for diverse learners and abilities; specifically linguistic. This experience ignited a love of
teaching and was an incredible opportunity to be challenged in my teaching and build personal resilience.
Throughout my studies at Deakin, I engaged in several Design Technology, Science and Inquiry based units, linking directly to the
STEM approach focused on here at Christ the King. I look forward to drawing on my knowledge and skills to instil curiosity,
questioning and an inquiry approach within all areas of learning.

Drive: My passion for teaching was instilled in me from my own experiences as a student through many inspiring and dedicated
teachers I had. I value positive connections and the importance of a sense of community within the learning environment where
students feel like they belong and are able to achieve their best; as this was important to me as a student myself.
I have always enjoyed learning and continuing to challenge my own abilities; and I aspire to encourage my students to do the same. I hope my enthusiasm for teaching will ignite an eagerness to learn within my students and develop an ever growing curiosity in their lives.
I feel extremely fortunate to be able to begin my teaching career here at Christ the King and I look forward to the many
opportunities that enable me to continue to grow; both personally and professionally.
