In Week 5, the Junior Learning Community used ‘Silly Billy’ by Anthony Browne as our mentor text. We focused on ‘Finding the Main Idea’ of the story, which was about Billy finding a strategy to help his worrying. Billy’s grandma suggested telling his worries to a worry doll. For our last reading lesson of the week, the students followed a procedural text to make worry dolls of their own. We loved making our worry dolls!
