Today, the Grade 6 Buddies worked alongside the Prep students to explore the fun of alliteration in a special learning session. First, the Buddies read picture books to the Preps, helping them understand how words that start with the same sound can be used to create fun and interesting sentences.
Following on from the stories, the Grade 6 students guided their Prep buddies as they drew pictures and wrote sentences filled with alliteration. Together, they drew pictures to match their creative sentences. Once the work was complete, everyone gathered to sit and enjoy a meal together, reflecting on the busy, yet rewarding experience. The Preps were thrilled to spend quality time with their Buddies!
