I have two children at Christ the King, one in Year 5 and one in Grade 2.
I joined the School Advisory Council in 2019 to play my part and contribute to support the principal and school improvements, advise on policy and work towards the Mission and Vision of the school.
As a council, we are very proud of the improvement and achievements of our school, and I proudly advocate and recommend our school with pride. One of our greatest achievements our School Advisory Council has made during my time serving is supporting the ‘green’ initiatives at the school, especially backing the electronic version of the school newsletter. The amount of paper the school has saved has been significant. It’s nice to know that we can make a difference.
In my professional background I have a degree in Social Welfare and Psychology with experience working in the homelessness and housing sector. I’m currently employed by the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) as a Forensic Analyst. I have been with TAC for 14 years, 12 years in my current role.
My vision for the future of the School Advisory Council is that we can continue to support the Principal and school leaders in achieving continued excellence, to ensure our children have a bright learning future.
